Mine Site Statutory Audits

Highly experienced SOTO Engineers, with significant mining expertise, undertake customised

Statutory Audits for the mining industry.

The audits include:

  • Surface Infrastructure (operational and structural)
  •  Underground Fixed Infrastructure
  •  Conveyors and Safety Guarding
  •  Platforms, Walkways, Stairways and Ladders.
  • Machinery Safety Guarding

SOTO Audits identify potential solutions to enable mines to both comply with the statutory requirements of

"Clause 20 (c) of the Coal Mines Health and Safety regulations 2006", as well as Australian Standards.

Risk Management Methodology

SOTO’s experienced Engineers undertake a visual inspection to locate detectable deficiencies, from

their expert breadth of knowledge of the mining industry.

A structured risk management approach is taken to identify the risks based on the likelihood and

consequences of a risk. Risks identified are prioritised and categorised with both photographic

evidence and written descriptions to support the required actions.

Audit Objectives

SOTO Engineers approach is to provide our clients with information to assist your decision making.

An independent, expert action report is provided which identifies both the priority of the risks as

well as the potential solutions to mitigate them, including details for repair.
